Chef De Cuisine
Kayla, our Chef De Cuisine at The Canyon House Kitchen + Cocktails, is a proud Colorado native who grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Eastern Colorado. There, she discovered her love for raising cattle, milk production, and organic gardening. While she originally studied accounting in college, a part-time job at a local cupcakery introduced her to the world of culinary arts—and she was hooked. She soon transferred to the Art Institute of Colorado, where she studied culinary arts, baking and pastry, and restaurant management.
Kayla’s passion for bold flavors and creative cooking was inspired by her grandmother, who shared treasured family recipes from Sicily. She thrives in the organized chaos of the kitchen, channeling that energy into delicious, thoughtfully crafted meals for the community.
When she’s not in the kitchen at Canyon House Kitchen and Cocktails, you’ll likely find her paddle boarding, camping, hiking, or enjoying nature with her pit bull, Toby.
Fun fact: Kayla once created five custom birthday pupcakes for Oprah Winfrey’s beloved dogs!
